Calculate and download
Your revenue, expenses and VAT for a period, and Excel or CSV files for your accountant.
Updated October 20, 2026
Under Accountancy > Calculate and download, you see everything you need for your BTWVAT return at a glance, and you download the files for your accountant.
Choose a period
At the top, choose a period, for example Last quarter. Want a different period? Click the first day in the calendar, then the last day, and choose Apply.
The overview
For margin goods and for everything else separately, and combined:
- Sales, including BTWVAT.
- Revenue, without BTWVAT.
- Expenses you've entered, with the BTWVAT you can reclaim.
- BTWVAT to pay: BTWVAT in sales minus BTWVAT in expenses. If the amount is below zero, you get that back.
Below that is the calculation for margin goods: sales, the consignors' share, your margin and the BTWVAT on that margin. See VAT and the margin scheme.
The files
You download two Excel files: Sales and Expenses. Each starts with the key amounts, followed by one line per sale or expense, with date, receipt number, consignor and BTWVAT.
Does your accounting software work with CSV? Then download the same files as CSV.
Entering expenses
What you don't enter isn't in there. Enter your expenses under Accountancy > Add expense: rent, energy, clothes racks, and secondhand goods you bought yourself. An employee can do this too, if they have the Accountancy permission.
This is a calculation to help you, not tax advice. Check the amounts before you file, or ask your accountant.
