Adding items with your phone
Take a photo, add the price, pick the consignor. How to get a pile of clothes in quickly from your phone.
Updated October 20, 2026
Someone brings in a bag of clothes? The quickest way to add it all is with your phone in your hand. You take the photo with the camera and fill in the rest on the same screen.
Before you start
- Log in on your phone with your own account. If an employee adds items on their own phone, set up that phone first (see Setting up a register or phone).
- Put EasyConsign on your home screen, so it's one tap away. See EasyConsign as an app on your Android phone.
- New consignor? Add them first under Consignors.
Step by step
- Open Items > Add item.
- Under Photo, tap Take photo. The camera opens: take the photo. Is the photo already on your phone? Tap Choose photo instead.
- Enter the name. It goes on the receipt, so keep it short: Levi's denim jacket.
- Enter the price. That's what the customer pays.
- Pick the consignor and the percentage they get. Leave the consignor empty for your own stock.
- Check Keep consignor and percentage for the next item. Then you don't have to pick them again for every item.
- Tap Save and print barcode. The item is now on the print list, and the form is empty for the next one.
Tips for a big pile
- Put everything from one consignor together and add it in one go. The consignor and percentage stay filled in.
- Take photos against a calm background in daylight. A white wall or a clothes rack works well.
- You can leave Description, Located in shop, Categories and Internal note empty. You can always fill them in later.
- Then print all the labels at once on the computer, under Barcode labels > Print items. See Printing barcode labels.
The photo
An item has one photo. A year after the item is sold, the photo is deleted automatically. The item and the sale are kept.
