Level 3, lesson 3 of 4 · 4 min
Employees and devices
What an employee may do, and the difference between the register and an employee's own phone.
Do you work with more people in the shop? Then give everyone their own register code. That way every receipt shows who rang it up, and you decide what each person may do.
What someone may do
Under Employees you add someone with a name and a register code of 4 digits. Then you check what that employee may do, for example:
- add and change items,
- check out and do refunds,
- pay out consignors,
- add expenses for the bookkeeping.
What someone may not do, that employee doesn't see in the menu either.
The shop's register
On the computer at the counter all employees log in, each with their own name and code. After 2 minutes without use the register locks. Stepping away? Click Lock yourself. Then the next person can log in right away with their own code.
An employee's own phone
Does an employee want to add items on their own phone? Then set up that phone with that employee, under Employees and then their name. The phone then belongs to that one employee. They only type their own register code, and the screen only locks after 30 minutes.
Does someone lose their phone, or does an employee leave? Remove the device from the list. Whoever is logged in on it is logged out right away.
